Founded in 1973, Groveland Gallery is located in a restored 1890’s mansion on the edge of downtown Minneapolis. Groveland Gallery showcases contemporary art by Midwestern artists and specializes in representational painting and drawing.
Exhibitions at Groveland change every six weeks and are featured in two distinct spaces. The Main Gallery, located on the first floor of the mansion showcases the work of Groveland artists in a large and elegant environment. The smaller Annex Gallery is located in the carriage house behind the mansion, providing intimate quarters for cameo exhibitions by both new and established gallery artists. Exhibitions are frequently complemented by artist’s talks and demonstrations. Opening Receptions are held on Friday nights and are free and open to the public.
