Groveland Gallery +1 Print Invitational Opens Tonight

The +1 Print Invitational opens at Groveland Gallery in Minneapolis today and will run through the end of the Mid America Print Council Conference.

Each of the gallery’s printmakers was invited to pick a second with whom to show, and I would like to wholeheartedly thank Stella Ebner for thinking of me.

Stella and I met at Kala, where she was completing a residency last year. She is currently teaching at the University of California, Davis and will have an upcoming solo show at the SFMOMA artist’s gallery in November.

All of my pieces in the show are part of the Plus A Century portfolio that will be exhibited in its entirety at Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, TX in November.

Here are three prints from other artists that I particularly enjoyed. From top to bottom they are: First Light, 2010, by Fred Hagstrom; Ilulissat Icebergs, 2010, by Robert Dorlac; and Celebration, Part 1, 2010, by Stella Ebner.
